Some places are not about ticking another attraction off your list. Kanniya Hot Water Wells was one of those places for me a quiet encounter with warm natural springs, ancient beliefs, coastal temples, and the unmistakable rhythm of life in Trincomalee.

Surabaya is often known as the City of Heroes, but beyond its historical landmarks lies another side of the city one filled with warm conversations, smoky street food stalls, colorful traditional markets, and everyday moments that make visitors feel unexpectedly at home.

I came to Yogyakarta expecting temples, traditional food, and beautiful streets. What stayed with me, however, were the quieter moments the sound of gamelan from a nearby house, friendly conversations with locals, and the feeling of being welcomed into a culture that still values patience, respect, and togetherness.

Away from the busy streets and modern cafés, Bandung reveals another side of its beauty quiet forests, misty hills, hidden waterfalls, and peaceful villages where nature and local traditions live together. This journey became a reminder that sometimes the most meaningful adventures are found in places we almost miss.
