Coffee & Tea Plantations Near Malang for Remote Work?

Hi everyone, I'm currently working remotely from Malang and looking for coffee or tea plantations with a relaxing atmosphere where I can work for a few hours. Any recommendations or experiences to share? I'd love to hear your favorite spots. Thanks!

I've worked remotely from Malang a few times, and one place I'd highly recommend is the Wonosari Tea Plantation. The scenery is incredibly peaceful, with endless green tea fields and fresh mountain air. It's not a coworking space, but if you're looking for a quiet environment to focus and recharge, it's a great option. I usually bring my own hotspot because the signal can vary depending on the area. Early mornings are especially beautiful, and the cooler temperature makes working outdoors much more comfortable. It's also a nice place to take short walks between work sessions.

If you're interested in coffee plantations, you should check out the Kopi Luwak Cikole area near Dampit. The surrounding coffee-growing region offers a unique experience where you can learn about local coffee production while enjoying a slower pace of life. Some nearby cafés overlook the plantations and provide comfortable spaces to work for a few hours. I spent an afternoon there and found it much less crowded than cafés in the city. The views alone made the trip worthwhile.

@yinameiling That sounds interesting! I like the idea of combining remote work with learning more about local coffee culture. A quieter setting away from the city is exactly what I'm looking for. I'll do some research on cafés around the plantation area and hopefully spend a day working there soon.

Another place worth considering is the Kebun Teh Sirah Kencong area. It's a bit farther from Malang, but the landscape is stunning and feels very different from typical work locations. The tea fields stretch across the hills, and the atmosphere is incredibly calm. I wouldn't rely on it for video meetings because internet coverage can be inconsistent, but for deep-focus work, writing, reading, or planning projects, it's one of the most inspiring places I've visited in East Java.
